Holistic Austin Dog Boarding + Austin Dog Daycare

We are open from (8-10am) for boarding drop off/pick ups (3-6pm). All pets not picked up by 10am (must add on Extended Daycare Surcharge or Additional day of boarding.

 Most types, ages, sizes and gender of dogs are a good fit for austin dog boarding + austin dog daycare including:

1. Puppies at least 4-6 months of age (must already be house trained)
2. Seniors who just need a low stress environment, a place to chill and a watchful eye
3. Dogs requiring medication
4. Sizes from tiny terriers to large golden retrievers
5. Low to high energy, well behaved dogs

Due to the nature of In-home Boutique boarding (versus kennel boarding) there are core training and behavioral requirements that must be present in order to move to the meet and greet stage for austin dog boarding + austin dog daycare, and these include:

• Must be 100% fully house trained, not have occasional 'accidents' in the house, does not mark inside and is able to go all night long without needing a potty break
• Has no history of biting a human or another dog
• Gets along well with other dogs, reads other dogs social cues and boundaries without conflict ensuing
• Is neutered or spayed if older than 10 months
• Has obedience training and or listens to basic commands

• Dominance or triggering behaviors such as nonstop sniffing other dogs, marking inside the house, attempting to mount other dogs, muzzle nudging and/or bullying other dogs, toy or food aggression, ie resource guarding.
• Can't settle down and/or rest in the house; lack of adequate exercise at home and lack of socialization around other dogs at austin dog boarding + austin dog daycare.
• Poor indoor house manners and social boundaries, which might include behaviors such as aggressively stealing other dogs toys and not respecting individual dogs social boundaries and cues, dangerously pushing through and past humans in the home, running over smaller dogs, attempting to steal human's food off surfaces, scratching doors, excessive barking when left alone
• Not trained well, doesn't listen to basic commands, requires constant correction inside the house for basic obedience
• Physically dangerous behaviors like jumping or lunging on or at people
• Wants to run away or get out, doesn't do well away from home and/or may exhibit intense away-from-home/owners separation anxiety (check out The Sporty Dog  Pet Sitting or  The Sporty Dog Walking for in Home Pet Services).
• Destructive, chews household items, scratches doors or barks nonstop if left alone AND is not crate trained (paws and/or barks in crate or behind gate).

To make a reservation, please create your Pet's account in our pet portal online and check your email for the portal activation to request a reservation and reserve a Play Day Evaluation. Reservations are required for both boarding and daycare along with updated shot records after passing Play Day Evaluations. You can also email updated shot records.

In order to best serve your pets, we like to schedule a Meet & Greet + Pet Care Evaluation within 48 hours of austin dog boarding + austin dog daycare and after all Pet information is added to the portal along with updated Vet Records. 

• This gives us an opportunity to meet your pets and collect any pertinent information about your pet's needs and any other special requests and make sure they are a good fit for boarding, daycare.
• Please login to the Client Portal or use the Time To Pet App and complete your Pet Profile which will then give you an option to upload vet records to schedule your first Meet & Greet + 1/2 Daycare Pet Evaluation along with dates for Boarding/DayCare.
• A meet and greet is a half hour appointment scheduled at The Sporty Dog HQ in South Austin with your dog(s). The meet and greet is a safe and controlled introduction of our dogs in a backyard setting to get acquainted.
• All pets booking Boarding are required to stay for the Pet Evaluation (1/2 day of daycare) which typically lasts from 12:30-3:30.. 
• Must RSVP in advance for Boarding/Daycare  especially during peak or holiday seasons. 
• Payment is due upon receipt of invoice in order to reserve a spot for your pets. If we do not receive payment, your pet is not booked. 
• Invoices will be sent via email for payment by online credit card thru the pet portal.
• A 50% deposit (retainer) of total invoice balance is required to hold a booking reservation for service periods more than two weeks away, between the Peak Season months of Memorial through Labor Day, and around all other major federal holidays including spring break.

All Payment is due upon receipt of invoice confirming your pet's reservation.  We do operate on a first come, first serve basis and fill up quickly based on payment  rendered. 

If requesting boarding during *Holidays, *Peak season, and up to 2 weeks or more days away, 50% of total Reservation will be charged to hold your pet's spot for the dates you've booked upon completion of Pet Evaluation.

Cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice are not eligible for a refund or credit. This is in order to accommodate all requests in a fair and timely manner and because time has already been reserved for your pet(s) and we have to turn others away if we have reached capacity.

**Holiday Peak Summer Season Policy: Due to an increase in pet services during this time, a 50% non-refundable retainer is due at time of booking. Cancellations made for holidays are not eligible for a refund or credit.

 Cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice are not eligible for a refund or credit. This is due to the time we are available on a daily basis. Short notice requests for service - less than 24 hours- can be accommodated by current clients when available for an additional $5 service charge per visit. Please note, if your reservation is cancelled due to non-payment, there is a $10 service fee to rebook, if your reservation is still available. This is in order to accommodate all requests in a fair and timely manner.  

Please bring your pet's food, medications, and any special toys or treats to make them feel at cozy. We provide bedding and bowls however if your pet has a preferred sleeping bed/pillow, crate or blanket you are welcome to bring it.

For the safety of all pets in Austin Dog Boarding + Austin Dog Daycare, we require proof of vaccination for Rabies, DHLPP (distemper), and Bordetella along with Flea/Heartworm Prevention or Alternative Titer Tests.

We offer supervised playtime outside and inside, small batch playgroups up to 5 dogs, usually only one large dog at a time. We are nature based offering socialization, water play, fetch, frisbee, enrichment games, puzzles, activities, dog meditation, massages, yoga, healthy snacks or treats, and even Nature and Animal Videos on You Tube for rest time or to decompress from extreme temps outside or even loud noises (fireworks etc). 

We are small batched, boutique- style, offering one-on-one, 24/7 personalized care. We have a number of safety measures in place, including 24/7 supervised care for your pets in our Pet BnB where we live too, so your pets will not ever be left alone during their Stay or Play, like the regular kennels who leave and go home for the night.
